Connecting your blog to social medias
To get your blog noticed, it helps to connect it with facebook, twitter, and other social medias. It is always a good idea to have your blog connected with services like these, because of the popularity and huge member database. Comment Integration is the main purpose why everyone does this. Its so visitors can easily put a comment on your blog using their facebook or even their twitter. Visitors will no longer have to use many different accounts; this way they can use one account to link to many others. Some services that allow for this to happen are, WP Facebook Connect (Word Press), Intense Debate, the one that we use, Blogger, and Disquis. These are all services that help you to connect your blog to other social medias very easily. There are other ways you can do this but these are strongly recommended.
Connecting your blog to facebook isn’t just for teens either. This is also very common I the business world. Many companies or self owned business do this so they can be noticed more than they are. Other reasons for using this is because its simplicity, Pro-effect, meaning this leaves your blog looking “professional”. This is not only telling people how to connect your blog to facebook, but also its introducing people to facebook and twitter who have yet to discover it yet. There are many different social medias out there and connecting them all together makes them even better.

  1. I never really think about a business combining Facebook or Twitter and a blog. Its an interesting concept. This is a great way for businesses to reach many people using a free website. This is also a great way for bloggers to get their blogs noticed.

  2. I think that connecting blogs to a social media network is a good thing, because it gets the blog much more exposure. Usually more people are on Facebook and Twitter as opposed to blogs, but if they are already on Facebook or Twitter then see a link to a blog from someone they know, they are probably more likely to visit the link and read the blog. Then, if they visit it once, they are likely to go back to it again if they enjoy it.

  3. I think that this can be very beneficial to businesses when used well. When a business has many fans on facebook, they can put the link on the page and all of the fans will see it. It lets those who haven't seen it, see it, and it starts the spread of the information on the blog.

  4. I think that linking your blog to some sort of social networking, if extremely effective. It allows however many facebook friends or twitter followers to see your link and access your blog much more simply. I think I would do it if I liked my blog enough.

  5. I do not really understand why it would be necessary to connect them. I think it would be a good idea for companies trying to get their blog read to connect them but it don't think it would be necessary.

  6. I think that its a good thing for people to use this if they are very active with their blog. You don't want to link to to your Facebook/ twitter if its something you don't keep up with. But if you are an active person with both your blog and Facebook, it would be pretty wise to link it. If your a business person, it would be smart because it will get your blog noticed and many people will visit your blog if it looks professional and neat.

  7. I think, Blogger and blogging is not super popular at our school so being able to link your blog page to your facebook would be very useful if you wanted to spread the word about your blog. Businesses and companies could benefit a lot from linking their blog to other social networking sites.

  8. Facebook is one of the most popular sites on the web, and Blogger is one of the most popular blog sites. I think combining the two for businesses would be truly beneficial. People can see that your businesses' blog exists on Facebook or Twitter, and they could access it easily and read your blog. There is more connectivity involved when you can use Facebook to reach people.

  9. I think connecting blogs to social media is helpful for businesses and for teens who want to get noticed. I think overall it is a good thing to connect blogs with social media because overall you will expand to a wider audience. It also helps you look really professional and like you know what you are talking about just by having all of these different social media connections. I always think it's cool when someone is able to update their twitter and facebook status at the same time. I also think it is helpful for teens who want to get their views on different aspects of life noticed.

  10. I think that it could really be good if you want your blog to be noticed. I think that it would really help businesses because it could help get their products out fasterand more people would know about it. I think for teens, that it would only help if they wanted their blog to take them somewhere like Prez Hilton.

  11. I believe that connecting your blog, or company websites to Facebook is a great idea. Connecting the two draws more attention to your website because friends who may not normally search for your blog can have easy access. Also sometimes it's hard to find a blog or a website just by searching because search engines pull up so much information. Your presentation was great, thanks for the lesson!

  12. Connecting your blog to Facebook is a great way for businesses to be discovered. I think it is only successful though when companies put time into their blogs and make them clean cut. Many companies could expand their businesses from state to state or even further.

  13. I think that connecting our blogs to facebook is a good idea. I have seen that connecting facebook with twitter has been the most popular. I have a twitter account but the only way I would have known it existed was because of facebook. I had a lot of facebook friends that were posting statuses from their twitters and I became interested. Through my experience it has helped. I think it can help businesses as well as individuals.

  14. I think this would be more helpful for a business than for myself. I think it would definitely help spread the word about a product or service a person/company is advertising. On Twitter and Facebook people can have tons of friends/followers which means they can get a lot of exposure by sharing it with people. It also seemed like your blogs would be very simple to attach to another social media outlet. Also, since you are signed up with facebook, it seems really easy to share and comment about the businesses product/service. Simple and easy lead to a successful business.

  15. I think connecting your blog to Facebook or some kind of social community. I don't think it is really needed for what we are doing with our blogs but I think its a really good idea for companies to get there stuff out.
